Program Objective:

To Assist the IRS in Modernizing Their Information Technology Systems and Re-Engineering Their Business Processes; the Prime Systems Integration Services Contract (PRIME)

ICT Role:

  • Provide Network and Application Engineering Support to Assist in Establishing the PRIME Information Technology Development Infrastructure and Command Center/Help Desk
  • Provide In-depth Analysis of Strategic Enterprise Telecom Alternatives and the Design, Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of Data and Telecom Networks
  • Provide Requirements Analysis, Specification Development, Structured Design Documents, Middleware, and COTS Integration for the Architecture and Engineering Office (AEO)
  • Provide Support in Implementing the Initial Task Orders to Modernize the Electronic Tax Admin. (ETA), Integrated Personnel System (IPS), and Payment Information Data Base Systems (PIDB)

  • Design and Implement Secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) for 30,000 Users Throughout the IRS
    - Configure and Install Cisco and Bay Access Servers and IRE SafeNet VPN Encryption Devices
    - Monitor and Optimize VPN Operations Traversing the IRS DCU Backbone and Multiple LANs
    - Merge 17 Help Desk Sites Into Single National Help Desk Team
  • Provide Secure VPN Programmatic and Help Desk Support

  • Provide Support for Resolution of Service Interruptions, System Certification, Problem Analysis (PTRs), System Enhancements (NCPs), and AT and AF Maintenance Training
