Program Objective:

Provide Software and Hardware Engineering Services for the Cutover and Life-Cycle Maintenance of the Microprocessor En Route Automated Radar Tracking System (MEARTS) Project

ICT Role:

  • Provide Hardware/Firmware Technical Support in Analyzing Hardware Discrepancy Reports (HDRs) and NAS Change Proposals (NCP) and Provide Hardware/ Solution and/or Upgrades
  • Provide Software Support to Analyze Program Technical Reports (PTRs) and NCPs, Develop the Software Solutions or Upgrades
  • Provide On-Site Technical Assistance and Radar Data Processing Expertise to Execute Diagnostics for Fault Isolation, Installation, and Other Site Specific Tasks
  • Provide Assistance for Installation, Modification, System Diagnostics Testing, Fault Isolation, and System Performance of the MEARTS Lab. and Radar Sites for FAA and DOD

Program Objective:

Site Selection and Master Plan for a Supplemental Airport in the Chicago Area. The largest single Planning Grant awarded by the U.S. DOT. Phase I: Airspace Feasibility Anal., Development, & Simulation of ATC Arrival & Departure Routes/Procedures for 5 Sites; Phase II: Detailed Airspace & Airfield Feasibility Anal. & Modeling Arrival & Departure Route/Procedures for Selected Site.

ICT Role:

  • Design and Develop Arrival and Departure Routes that Integrate with Existing Routes with Minimal Impact Upon the Existing ATC Procedures Employed in the Greater Chicago Area;
  • Simulate Airport Traffic and Groundside Activity to Support Airport's Capacity Design and Route Integration Using SIMMOD;
  • Develop and Conduct Functional, Operational, and Acceptance Test to Validate Post- and Pre-Processors to Facilitate Input Data Conversion and Output Data Reduction & Analysis;
  • Write and/or Modify S/W Used in SIMMOD Tools for Scenario Sims and for System Performance and Diagnostic Testing;
  • Develop Airport Noise and Site Environmental Analysis; Demonstrated the Results Using SIMMOD Animation System
